European Club for Liver Cell Biology-9 (ECLCB-9, 2025)

24-26 September 2025 | The Flonk Hotel, Groningen

About the meeting

The European Club for Liver Cell Biology (ECLCB) meeting is a biennial meeting hosted by leading European centers committed to advancing fundamental liver research. Its core mission is to provide a unique and stimulating platform for (early career) scientists working in liver cell biology and pathophysiology to share novel findings, exchange ideas, and build collaborative networks - shaping the future of hepatology together. Previous ECLCB meetings include ECLCB-8, 2018 (Bonn, Germany); ECLCB-7, 2016 (Ascot, UK); ECLCB-6, 2014 (Treviso, Italy); ECLCB-5, 2012 (Groningen, Netherlands); ECLCB-4, 2010 (Pamplona, Spain), among others.

ECLCB-9 will take place in the Netherlands and is expected to host 125 international participants ranging from young scientists to experts and non-academic stakeholders. The meeting is designed in an informal setting with six thematic sessions including clinical and industry-focused sessions. Each session will feature expert keynote talks providing state-of-the-art insights followed by oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts. In addition, poster sessions will be organized to enable broader participation and cover diverse range of topics within liver cell biology.

Furthermore, three hands-on workshops will be organized, led by experts who will introduce cutting-edge technologies, offer live demonstrations, and engage in an in-depth discussion on technical challenges and applications.
